Decide Together: The RFI Room, Change Requests in Their Own Room, One Inbox, Comments for Teams, Settings and Stack Views, Conversations in Ask, Clearer and Easier to Start, Also New: Your Stack in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack.

The RFI Room

Describe what you need in a sentence. The app fills in your stack, your company and a shortlist, you confirm one page, and it writes the RFI with a scoring rubric. Send it to vendors from saved contacts with one deadline and automatic reminders, see who opened it and who has answered, and let vendors answer in Excel if they prefer. Score every answer side by side, agree the scores, and record the decision with its reason.

Change Requests in Their Own Room

A change request now has its own page, from draft to closed. Approvers vote there, from an email link or on their phone, and every revision stays on record. Once it is approved, Apply shows the stack before and after, updates it, and can be reverted. The work that follows is tracked with owners and due dates until you close the request. A decided RFI starts one, already filled in.

One Inbox

The Inbox in the header lists what is waiting on you in the workspace: change requests to vote on, RFIs to score, your tasks and your mentions, overdue first. Owners and admins also see the team’s workload. It replaces the Requests panel and My Tasks.

Comments for Teams

On the Team plan, open Comments beside the canvas to discuss a stack, reply in threads and @mention a teammate. Mentions and replies arrive in their Inbox.

Settings and Stack Views

Settings is now its own page, with your account, your workspace and your organisation in one place, including data export, account deletion, sessions and recovery codes. A stack opens as Canvas, Table, Costs or Details, each with its own link, and the stack’s name in the header always takes you back to the canvas.

Conversations in Ask

Ask, the chat about your stack, keeps several conversations per stack. In a team workspace you choose whether a conversation is private or shared, and shared ones show who asked what. The free plan includes 10 questions a month.

Clearer and Easier to Start

New accounts get a five-step checklist to a first useful stack. Colours now mean one thing each (orange is urgent, amber is money), and buttons, dates and badges look the same everywhere. This release also fixes many problems found in testing, among them a reload that could lose unsaved work and what viewers were able to change.

Also New: Your Stack in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack

Your stack also answers in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack.

How to connect them

Your Stack, in Your Pocket: Martech Stack Builder on Your Phone, Command K, Rebuilt, One Place for Your Tasks, Renewals You Can Act On, Vendor Reliability, A Bigger Catalog.

Martech Stack Builder on Your Phone

Open app.martechstackbuilder.com on your phone and add it to your home screen. Approve change requests from the Inbox, check every cancel-by date in Renewals and email yourself the brief, look through your stacks, invite your team, and ask questions about a stack. Turn on notifications to hear when a decision is waiting on you.

Command K, Rebuilt

Press Command K (Ctrl K on Windows) to jump to any command, stack or tool. Type a sentence instead and it offers to generate a stack from it, or to ask about the stack you have open.

One Place for Your Tasks

Change requests, roadmap items and use cases now share one task list. My Tasks shows what is yours and what is due, a roadmap item can become a change request in one step, and deleting a draft can be undone.

Renewals You Can Act On

Record a renewal date on any tool, including on the free plan, from the node or a right-click. Add the dates to your calendar, and open a renewal brief with the notice deadline, the cost of doing nothing and the alternatives worth a look.

Vendor Reliability

Each vendor now has a reliability score built from its public status page history, shown in the app and on its vendor page, so you can see which tools have a record of outages before you rely on them.

A Bigger Catalog

New categories for Commerce & Payments, Foundation Models and Video Marketing, with payment gateways and AI model providers added. Consent Management is now its own category. Stack Costs now gives an estimate for each tool.

2.1.0: What Your Tools Actually Do

What Your Tools Actually Do: Two Tools, Several Connections, Capabilities Backed by Evidence, Tell Us About Your Company Once, A Stack Preview Worth Opening.

Two Tools, Several Connections

A streaming pipe and a nightly sync are not one integration. A pair of tools can now carry as many connections as it really has — the line shows a count, and clicking it lists them with their own names, modes and auth. Add, edit and delete them from the list or the metadata table.

Capabilities Backed by Evidence

Every vendor in the catalog has been evaluated against cited evidence rather than memory, in one vocabulary instead of four. Alternatives, Compare and the audit now agree with each other, and you can hover any capability to see what it was judged on.

Tell Us About Your Company Once

Evaluate, Compare, Roadmap, Privacy and RFI each used to ask their own version of the same questions. They now share one company profile and one per-stack intent — answer it once and every report is written for your size, market and goals.

A Stack Preview Worth Opening

The preview answers the question people actually have about a saved stack — what is in it, how complete it is, and what the evidence says — instead of showing a thumbnail and a date.

The Engine Release: AI That Shows Its Work, RFIs Start With a Question, The Renewal War Room, Utilization & Off-the-Books Spend, A Much Bigger Catalog, A Sharper Lens Set.

AI That Shows Its Work

Every AI Command Hub tab — Evaluate, Alternatives, Compare, Chat — now runs on the audit engine, the capability knowledge base, and reviewed vendor judgments. The AI explains verdicts your stack data produced; it never invents scores, candidates, or numbers.

RFIs Start With a Question

Describe what you're trying to buy in plain language. The capabilities you named are identified, a shortlist comes from the knowledge graph with reviewed judgments, and the wizard arrives pre-filled — a two-minute confirmation instead of seventeen steps.

The Renewal War Room

From six months out, any renewal can become a negotiation brief: the contract clock, your leverage — credible alternatives, overlap you already own, seats you don't use — and an AI ask-ladder that cites your actual agreements.

Utilization & Off-the-Books Spend

A new lens paints every tool by value received — healthy, under-used, over-committed, or disconnected spend. Stack Costs now also surfaces contract value no node accounts for, with one click to bring it onto the canvas.

A Much Bigger Catalog

79 new vendors take the catalog to 271, across eight new categories from feature flagging to master data management — every one capability-mapped so alternatives, comparisons, and audits get sharper.

A Sharper Lens Set

The lens portfolio was rebuilt around one bar: does it inform a real decision? Two new lenses — Lifecycle for migration sequencing and Strata for pace layering — join a leaner set of eleven where every lens earns its place.

Rollouts, Native Apps & Suites: Workspace Rollouts, Native App Deployment, Vendor Suites, Smarter AI Assessments, Canvas & Workflow Polish.

Workspace Rollouts

Sequence your existing phase diagrams into a staged rollout plan. Step through phases on the canvas with an insight panel that shows exactly what changes between stages — tools added and removed, cost delta, and risk — and ask AI about any transition without leaving the view.

Native App Deployment

Model Snowflake Native Apps and other embedded products where they actually run. Deploy a vendor as a native app nested inside its host cloud platform — a clean host-and-extension stack you can collapse or expand — and the AI understands the nesting when it assesses your architecture.

Vendor Suites

Multi-product vendors now group under their parent company in the palette — Salesforce Data Cloud, Optimizely, Zeotap's Composable CDP — and every vendor card shows its sibling products, so related tools are easy to find and compare.

Smarter AI Assessments

Stack assessments now understand vendor suites and which teams own which tools, and each vendor's full capability set feeds the analysis — for sharper, better-grounded recommendations.

Canvas & Workflow Polish

A reorganized File menu with an Export submenu, a Duplicate dialog that can drop a copy straight into a rollout phase, downstream edges that recolor when you swap a node, and easier node resizing — plus fixes to team-diagram billing, renaming, and duplicating at your save limit.

Live Vendor Health on Canvas

Your architecture diagram is now a live operational dashboard. 25 vendor nodes auto-sync their health every 5 minutes — with pulse animations for degraded or outage states. Toggle between Manual and Live mode per node, and get in-app + Slack alerts when vendors in your stack go down.

Server-Side Notifications

Notifications now dispatch from the server — you'll receive alerts for renewals, vendor health changes, and RFI deadlines even when offline. High-priority events send immediately; everything else follows your digest preference.

Cross-Site Scripting Protection

Added browser-level protection across the application against cross-site scripting attacks.

Security Hardening

Tightened access controls between workspaces, enforced plan limits more strictly, added integrity checks on the software we depend on, and expanded automated testing.
