Roadmap ·
Mandatory CSP update for new consent loading method
Consent Manager moved to a new loading method. Customers had to add *.trustarc.com to their connect-src and script-src CSP directives by the deadline, or TrustArc says its resources could be blocked and consent banners affected. This affects security and web teams with strict CSPs.
Before May 22, 2026, customers must update their Content Security Policy (CSP) to include *.trustarc.com in the connect-src and script-src directives.

What TrustArc is, in short
TrustArc is an established privacy compliance platform competing with OneTrust, Osano, and Transcend in the enterprise privacy management space. Originally known as TRUSTe (a web privacy certification body), it pivoted to a full privacy management suite offering consent management, data mapping, privacy assessments, and regulatory intelligence. It targets mid-market to enterprise organizations needing comprehensive privacy program management. TrustArc's differentiator is its combination of technology and managed services — it offers both software tools and access to privacy consultants, making it suitable for organizations building privacy programs without large in-house teams. The Individual Rights Manager automates DSR fulfillment, and the Assessment Manager streamlines PIAs and DPIAs.
Ideal customers are regulated industries (healthcare, finance, retail) that need both tooling and advisory support. Buyers should evaluate TrustArc against OneTrust for breadth of GRC capabilities (OneTrust is larger and broader), and against Transcend for developer-first automation. TrustArc's managed services add cost but reduce internal resource requirements. Validate the cookie consent manager's performance impact on page load and ensure the assessment templates align with your specific regulatory requirements.
TrustArc alternatives compared
Ranked by relationship first — a tool approved as a direct replacement outranks one that merely shares capabilities. Tools judged to be complements to TrustArc are excluded, because running both is not the same as replacing it. Direct-replacement verdicts were checked by hand; the one-line verdicts were drafted by an AI model, and most partial-overlap verdicts were accepted on its confidence.

| | Partial overlap AI Governance & Guardrails Consent Management (CMP) Cookie Management +3 more Both cover core privacy operations (consent/cookies and compliance workflows), but teams sometimes pair a governance suite with a more automation-oriented privacy tool depending on how DSAR/deletion and consent are operationalized. | High | Custom | — | About Transcend |
