Mule 4.4 support ended; runtime upgrade cycle tightens
Teams on Mule 4.4 lost Extended Support in October 2025. Mule 4.6 LTS Extended Support ends February 2027, and every later release in the support table lists Java 17 only. Teams have to keep re-testing and upgrading their apps.
Standard Support for Mule 4.4 ends in October 2024, followed by the end of Extended Support in October 2025.

CloudHub 1.0 being phased out for CloudHub 2.0
MuleSoft says CloudHub 1.0 will not stay available indefinitely and offers an in-app upgrade tool. CloudHub 1.0 customers face a migration that rebuilds VPCs as private spaces and moves their apps to the Kubernetes-based CloudHub 2.0.
CloudHub 1.0 won’t be available indefinitely, and we aim to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Usage-based pricing extended to Hybrid Standalone
Usage-based pricing (flows, messages, data throughput) now covers Hybrid Standalone as well as CloudHub and Runtime Fabric. Customers on core-based contracts can choose to move, and their costs then track integration volume instead of capacity.
flows deployed or the volume of messages passing through those flows – as opposed to our traditional core allocation model

What MuleSoft is, in short
MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) is best suited to mid-to-large organisations that need a governed, reusable integration and API management platform across hybrid environments. It fits teams standardising integration patterns at scale, especially where API lifecycle governance and cross-system connectivity matter more than lowest-cost licensing.
MuleSoft alternatives compared
Ranked by relationship first — a tool approved as a direct replacement outranks one that merely shares capabilities. Tools judged to be complements to MuleSoft are excluded, because running both is not the same as replacing it. Direct-replacement verdicts were checked by hand; the one-line verdicts were drafted by an AI model, and most partial-overlap verdicts were accepted on its confidence.
